Knights Disolve Salts

A very good, all round performance, today. The sun was shining and the grass was thick and long making it hard work for the boys but each one got stuck in and battled throughout to get their just rewards with a victory!

Xander: Played half the game in goal (untroubled due to very good defensive performances) and the rest of his game time playing a more midfield/forward role. Only his second competitive team game and he really played well. Tackled, battled and used good skills with the ball to go forward and was rewarded with a goal for his efforts and Coach’s Player of the Match. WELL DONE XANDER!

Jack: Excellent defensive work stopping attacks and tackling. A strong left boot on him that saw some good clearances, passes and efforts on goal. Always gives his all and happy to lead and help his teammates. WELL DONE JACK!

Oscar: Great strength, good tackling stopping a lot of attacks, good control of the football and always looking to make a pass creating attacking opportunities. Opposition Player of the Match. WELL DONE OSCAR!

Will: Began in a midfield/forward role but really came into his own when asking to play more defensive role. Always battles hard and concentrates on what he’s doing and what’s going on around him. Doesn’t take risks (in defence) and puts the ball out of play if the opposition threaten. WELL DONE WILL!

Freddie: Showed great skill, control and confidence when having the football at his feet. Worked tirelessly in attack creating goal scoring opportunities for himself and getting into good positions to receive the ball. Rewarded with 2 more goals to his ever increasing tally. Parents Player of the Match. WELL DONE FREDDIE!

Logan: Very good defensively. Always prepared to get stuck in and tackle. One of the few happy to shout for the ball with good leadership skills telling his teammates where he wants them to be to receive the ball from himself. Stopped a number of attacks and confidence increasing when taking the ball out of defensive and into attack. WELL DONE LOGAN!

Finlay: First competitive game and did really well. Started in a defensive role, stopping attacks, before playing a half in goal. Unlucky not to save the shot that resulted in their goal but it was a very well struck effort. Wasn’t timid, understood his roles and played very well. WELL DONE FINLAY!
