Silsden Dragons V Guiseley Whites

Silsden Dragons played easily the best football they have played, some fantastic free flowing attacking moves that the opposition just couldn't deal with, and with better finishing, the score could have been very different! The second quarter, especially Guiseley just couldn't deal with the pace and precision of our attacks, 1 move especially, when a ball from stan went to Derry and his pinpoint pass found Harry who finished into the bottom corner ,1 end of the pitch to the other in 3 passes fantastic to watch ....Guisley in the end did prove too strong but they definitely didn't play the better football, most of their goals coming from tap ins after the ball had bounced off a player and kindly landed at a Guisley players feet...

As always, brilliant, made some fantastic saves and rushed off his line to thwart 2 or 3 attacks well played Miles!
Brody fantastic in defence, and his positional sense is second to none always there to slow down attacks, and allow his teammates to get back..well played Brody!
Stan, asked to play alongside Brody with a bit more licence to get forward, most attacks started with stan and he didn't disappoint playing some great through balls, and strong in his defensive duties as well..well played Stan!
Jack the debutant, didn't look out of his depth, he was asked to play defence and probably won more tackles than anyone else on the team, with 1 in particular that he never give up on and eventually won it and played a peach of ball forward to Derry..well played Jack!
Derry, fantastic with the ball, he is like our playmaker taking on players, but also playing some fantastic balls to his teammates, showing real intelligence on when to take people on, and when to play the pass.well played Derry!
Harry, fantastic game, did exactly what we asked, got up and down the pitch and time and time again got into the right position, to finish off great Silsden moves on another day he could of got himself 5 or 6 goals, did score and was well deserved so close to being our Mom.well played Harry!
Keegan, lone man up top, asked to get the ball and hold it up, he did that and more! The opposition tried to kick lumps out of him today but keegan was too strong, and also showed his composure when in on goal he doesn't miss that target and as always when a chance comes finishes it...well done keegan!
Today was so hard to pick a Mom because everyone played so well! It is a great credit to them, they really looked like a team! I was so proud of our little team today, and if they keep playing like they did today they will start blowing teams away.
It wasnt to be today, but don't let that take anything away from the performance.
