New formation ....
A good response from the Dragons tonight from previous performances gave them a well deserved victory .
A new formation of a back four , 3 midfield and a loan striker worked well from the start . The dragons showed they wanted to improve with plenty of shouting and support which had been missing in previous games . From the kick off Silsden controlled the game and passed the ball fluently throughout and took the lead through Evan who spun round and with his weak foot struck a sweet shot passed the Oakworth keeper , the Dragons were unlucky not to add to the tally with some excellent moves but just couldn't find the back of the net and finished the first half 1-0 up .
More pressure from the Dragon's at the start of the second half lead to a scramble in the box to which Archie P crashed home the loose ball , 2-0 . Oakworth never gave up and still tested Silsden but they stood firm and coped with what came at them . The dragons added a third with Huey bringing under control a cross from Evan and slamming home to make it 3-0 . Oakworth managed to pull one back while the dragons were sorting out positions but was the only time they came under pressure . Red tapped in number 4 at the far post and Alfie struck the fifth .
I don't often do individual comments but they all deserve it with this one .
Alex had a quiet game but his distribution was good .
Leo deputised as left wing back and didn't let anything phase him with a good display .
Evie had another strong game and tackled well , she never panicked and supported well .
Archie N once again was strong in his tackling and settled in the new formation .
Euan played well as right back and gave good support to the midfield .
Jack played one of his best performances and took to the new role well .
Alfie as ever ran himself into the ground and deserved his goal .
Billy has settled in the right wing position and played with confidence in supporting attacks .
Archie P linked well on the left wing and covered a lot of ground helping out defending .
Red gained some valuable match experienced and took his goal well .
Huey played with composure and showed awareness with his first time passes .
Evan was at his best tonight with 100% effort and good long ball passes .
