Local friendly ....

Tonight's friendly gave both squads the opportunity to give their new players some game time . From the start both sides were up for the challenge and Silsden settled into their tactical strategies straight away . Shamrocks only started the match with 8 players and made it hard for the dragons , stopping good solo runs down the wing . Alex was in charge of his area with confidence and kept the score level until Alfie lobbed the ball over the defence for Archie P to slot home . Jack put in a great display and was unlucky not to score after firing a bullet for from 25 yards only for the keeper to tip over . Euan and Archie N played to expectations in defence working well at times as a duo . Archie P grabbed his second to make the score 2-0 at half time . The second half was pretty much the same with Silsden in control for most of it , Alfie and Evan ticked over in midfield nicely dictating a lot of play . Billy played well down the right wing and was rewarded with a goal after Evan latched onto a kick out from Alex and ended up firing onto the cross bar for Billy to tap in the rebound . Leo has settled well into the squad and played a well on the left wing with attacking runs and had some good efforts on goal . Evan added a fourth but Keighley were still up for a battle and had plenty of ammo left , they took advantage of Silsden switching off and grabbed two well taken goals . Harry took his chance to gain more match time and his off the ball work was a credit . Debuts for Adam and Red saw good performances from both who slotted in nicely to the team . As friendlies go there were no harsh challenges and the med kit not needed . Well done the dragons 4-2 victory royale .
