Home at last .....

Great game of football today with plenty of action ending in a very rare 0-0 draw . The Dragons dominated possession from kick off with plenty of quick passing moves and movement but came up against an Alpha United team that came to defend and use the counter attack to surprise the lads with a goal . A solid performance from Alex in goal and with Jack , Archie N and Euan having probably the best defensive display for a long time kept out Alpha from scoring . Owen in the centre of midfield saw plenty of the game and set a number of attacks off and with Billy and Archie P settling into their wing positions offered a lot of dominating play to supply Alfie and Evan up front . Sam also came on as sub and had some good touches and is gaining in confidence match by match . With Alpha playing defensively the Dragons relied on long range shooting but came up against an in form United keeper . With time running out and tiredness creeping in trying to get through 4 defenders and at times 6 became increasingly difficult for the Dragons but they never gave up and pushed themselves to the final whistle .
Another pleasing performance that showed the lads can pass the ball confidently and attack the opposition , if anything was missing today then it was communication of letting team mates know about 'man on' or 'time' and following up shots on goal .
