Silsden shuffle their pack.

On a cold windy Sunday morning, Silsden entertained a very strong Dudley Hill side and with Silsden centre forward Camsey away on international duty, Silsden had to shuffle their pack.

After an even first 10 minutes Harry Whitaker played a great ball over the Dudley Hill defence for Lewis Gartland to neatly tuck away in the far left corner.

Silsden went on the attack with Dan Barnes, Sam Ayik and Josh Elliot breaking forward at every opportunity. A great strike fron Dan was saved by the Dudley goalie and from his kick out, Whitaker controlled and struck a great goal from 25 yards. 2.0.

This seemed to spur Dudley Hill on and with nice movement from back to front they got a well deserved goal just before half time.

The second half saw Hill come out all guns blazing,  pegging Silsden back. But for great defensive play which earned Lola Cunnigham player of the match and Sam Brockbank making a number of fine saves, one destined for the top corner only for Sam to tip it over the bar.

You cannot keep this Silsden team back for long and with a break out of defense by Harry Whitaker laying the ball on for Charlie Barnes to race clear and smash his shot past the advancing keeper.
This seemed to knock the Hill players and soon after Gartland threaded a ball through for Charlie to score his second.

The visitors never gave up but the score remained Silsden 4 Dudley Hill 1.
