Another clean sheet for Sammy B

Silsden U9s continued their great form this season, with an impressive 5-0 victory over a very good Calverley team. In the first 15 mins both teams played some good football, but there was no breaking down Silsdens defence marshalled by the Silsden captain Lola Cunningham.
16 mins in Silsden got a freekick on the edge of the Calverley box and with a sweetly struck shot Charlie Barnes put silsden one up. Calverley went on the attack but with Michael Pacittu solid in defence and Sam Brockbank making 2 excellent saves, the first half came to a close.
   From the off in the second half Silsden went on the attack with both wing men Daniel Barnes and Sam Ayik making breaks at every opportunity, resulting in an excellent cross by Charlie Barnes and a front post tap in from Sam Ayik. Two great strikes from Harry Whitaker and Daniel Barnes put Silsden 4 up .
Good defensive work from George Ellison set up a good attack , resulting in a corner which was sweetly put away by Harry Whitaker . The player of the match went to Daniel Barnes from the Calverly coaches. An overall great performance from Silsden and another clean sheet.
