First home game and Dragons show a ruthless streak to dominate.

1st Quarter
William (GK), Harry T, Will L, Thomas, Lennon, Edward.
Flying start from the Dragons! Quick passing, good tackling and great pace were all highlights of the play. A quick fire hat trick from Lennon resulting from the great play. The first a great run and cross from Thomas to Lennon and nice low finish. Second up good work from Edward, pass to Thomas and a repeat of the first, great cross and Lennon finishing. The third was a bit of a scramble in the middle with both Lennon and Edward combining to win the ball which eventually broke Lennon’s way for him to race through and finish.
3 – 0

2nd Quarter
Ollie (GK), Harry T, Will L, Thomas, Harry MS, Edward.
The Dragons kept up the tempo in the second quarter and never let Calverley B into the match. A good run from Harry MS setting up Edward for his first of the game with a trademark powerful finish 4 – 0. Harry MS then got himself in on the act by nicking the ball away from the Calverley defender and finishing nicely 5 – 0. Two more goals followed late in the quarter, first up a great break from Thomas running the full length of the pitch to make it 6 – 0. Edward finished the quarter with a great finish from a super Thomas throw in.
7 – 0

3rd Quarter
William (GK), Harry T, Will L, Lennon (Thomas), Ollie, Harry MS.
In the spirit of good sportsmanship we allowed the Calverley team to field an extra player in the third quarter. However that didn’t stop our boys, they were dominant yet again. Ollie and Lennon doing a great job in midfield with Harry T and Will L solid at the back. Two goals from Harry MS, the second from a great through ball from Ollie, and an unfortunate own goal from a corner meant the Dragons went into the final quarter 10 – 0 up.
10 – 0

4th Quarter
Thomas (GK), William, Lennon, Ollie, Harry MS, Edward.
Credit to the Calverley team their heads never dropped but as the forth quarter wore on they did understandably tire. Ollie got his debut goal finishing a Harry MS corner. Then Harry MS got the last of his four for the game latching onto a great pass from William 12 – 0. The thirteenth was by far the best goal of the game as Lennon and Ollie played a wonderful one two in the middle of the pitch and Lennon finishing (albeit at the third attempt after some super goalkeeping by the Calverley keeper). The game finished with a run and shot from Edward making it 14 – 0 (Edwards hat trick) and Lennon rounding up the scoring with a scrambled finish.
15 – 0

Summary.
A fantastic result for the Dragons although you do have to feel for the Calverley team. They worked their socks off and special credit goes to their number 9 who had it not been for the excellent performance of our goalkeepers on the day (William, Ollie and Thomas) might have had two or three goals to his name. Also despite the score line the Calverley goalkeeper did make many a great save.
Very pleasing to see the goals spread between the team. At the back Will L and Harry T are showing signs of forming a solid foundation for our team. In midfield great work from Lennon, Thomas and Ollie never allowed the Calverley boys to settle and up front Edward and Harry MS’s pace was a constant problem. Finally in goal William, Ollie and Thomas all did a fantastic job when called upon.
Ollie was awarded Man of the Match for his work in goal and midfield (especially some great little through balls and the one two with Lennon for the thirteenth goal).
Still plenty to work on but a very pleasing mornings work!
